Crew to Compete at Stonehurst Invitational

The Orange will be competing against teams from Binghamton, Brown, Buffalo, Canisius, Colgate, Dartmouth, Harvard, Mercyhurst, Ohio State, Purdue, RIT, St. Lawrence, Toronto, and Yale, among others. Each crew will participate in both a head race of 5,000 meters, or 3.1 miles, as well as a sprint of 1,500 meters. The times for both races will be combined to determine the final rankings. Last season, SU's varsity eight A finished fourth of 20 crews in the open category. The boat's final time was 29:20.34.
The head races begin at 9:30 a.m., and the sprints begin at 1:30 p.m. The final results will be announced at the end of the day. All races will take place on the Genesee River. Spectators can watch the races from Bausch & Lomb Riverside Park along the University of Rochester’s River Campus.
