
Local A-League Team Selects Aloisi

TAMPA, Fla. - Syracuse men's soccer player Chris Aloisi was drafted by the Syracuse Salty Dogs in the second round of the 2004 A-League College Draft on Wednesday, December 17.
Aloisi, a senior defender, was the sixth pick of the second round and the 22nd selection overall. He is the second SU player in as many seasons to be chosen by the Salty Dogs (Guido Cristofori).
The fifth-year senior captain started 16 games for the Orangemen, helping the squad record five shutouts. He was a third-team All-BIG EAST selection in 2003.
Aloisi is also one of 54 collegiate players chosen to participate in the Major League Soccer player combine that will be held in Carson, Calif. on January 11-13. General managers and coaches from all 10 MLS teams will be on hand to evaluate talent for the MLS SuperDraft which will be held in Charlotte, N.C. on January 16.
