Reyes was a second-team All-BIG EAST selection in 2003 after he set the SU single-season and career rushing touchdowns records with 20 this season and 38 for his career. He had a school-record 21 total touchdowns and 128 points, and finished the season with the second-most rushing yards in one SU season with 1,347. Reyes finished 2003 ranked second on the single-season list with 253 carries, first with 292 all-purpose plays and third with 1,732 all-purpose yards. He ranks second on the SU career list with 39 total touchdowns, seventh with 2,621 rushing yards and tenth with 477 career carries.
Terry was also a second-team All-BIG EAST selection. He was a starter on the offensive line that blocked for Reyes. Reyes is the third consecutive 1,000-yard rusher that Terry has protected.
Smith started the last 11 games of the season after making a key touchdown in the third overtime in SU’s season-opening win at North Carolina. He was named to The Sporting News Freshman All-American Third Team and The Sporting News BIG EAST All-Freshman Team in 2003. Smith finished the season with 68 tackles, including 50 solo stops, which ranks fifth on the team. His 5.7 tackles-per-game average led BIG EAST freshmen and tied for 38th overall.
