Tarullo Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior Matt Tarullo, an offensive guard on the Orangemen football team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 29.
Tarullo has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll all five of his semesters at Syracuse. He is a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star. In 2003, he was one of 13 players to start every game. He blocked for 1,000-yard rusher Walter Reyes, who scored a school-record 20 rushing touchdowns in 2003.
Tarullo and the Orangemen finished their season with a 6-6 record after defeating Notre Dame, 38-12, in the season finale at the Carrier Dome.
