
Ferrara Selected for 2004 East-West Shrine Game

Ferrara is the 64th Orangeman to represent Syracuse at the East-West Shrine game, and the 17th player selected from SU during head coach Paul Pasqualoni’s tenure.
The 2003 second-team All-BIG EAST selection finished the season tied for third among BIG EAST linemen with 5.2 tackles per game. His 139 career tackles ranks ninth on Syracuse’s record list for tackles by a down lineman. Ferrara tied the SU single-game record with five tackles for a loss of 22 yards against Notre Dame (Dwight Freeney vs. Virginia Tech, 2000; Antwaune Ponds vs. West Virginia, 1996). His 2003 total of 16.5 tackles for a loss of 43 yards is the third-highest single-season mark in SU history and he closed his career ranked fifth on the Orange career tackles for loss record list with 30.
