Members of the team will wrap gifts in two-hour shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Prices range from $1 for small items like fine jewelery to $8 for larger items such as televisions and stereos. Donations are also welcome.
“It’s nice to help an organization like Vera House,” junior Anna Goodale said. “Wrapping presents is a small service, but every little bit counts.”
The Vera House is a not-for-profit human service agency that provides assistance to the victims of domestic violence and the homeless in Syracuse and Onondaga County.
The team also staffed the gift-wrapping booth at Carousel to benefit the organization last Christmas and will participate in other community service activities for Syracuse student-athletes in the spring.
The Orangewomen concluded the fall portion of their season with a seventh-place finish in their first-ever trip to the Head of the Lake Regatta in Seattle, Wash. The squad will make two training trips to Florida during the next three months before hosting Boston University and Duke on March 27 to open spring competition.
