
Thirteen SU Men's Lacrosse Players Earn Academic Honors

Thirteen members of the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the Fall 2002 semester. The Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Senior Dave Puccia (Watertown, NY) completed his sixth semester with at least a 3.0 grade point average, while senior Michael Smith (Greenport, NY) earned the honor for the first time.
Nick Donatelli (Endicott, NY), Stephen Vallone (Corning, NY), and Alex Zink (Rowayton, CT) were the juniors named to the honor roll. Donatelli and Vallone appeared on the honor roll for their fifth semesters, while Zink made his second appearance.
Andrew Boyle (Columbus, OH), Kevin Gowin (East Syracuse, NY), Jake Plunket (Cortland, NY), Andrew Starr (Weston, MA), and Zack Wallace (Baldwinsville, NY) were the sophomores that earned the honor. Starr was named to the honor roll for the fourth time, while Boyle made his third appearance. Gowin and Plunket appeared on the honor roll for their second semester, and Wallace earned the honor for the first time.
Freshmen Greg Rommel (Syracuse, NY), Andrew Sullivan (Norwalk, CT) and John Wright (Royal Oak, MI) made their first appearance on the honor roll.
