
Ten Orangewomen Softball Student-Athletes Named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Ten members of the Syracuse softball team have been named to the fall 2002 Athletic Director's Honor Roll. The AD Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.0 grade point average for a semester.
Two players were honored for the seventh time in as many semesters. Senior Julie Dunn (Springfield, Ill./Springfield), a 2002 third-team Academic All-American, has been named to the honor roll in each of her semesters at SU. Redshirt junior Rachel Park (Mt. Juliet, Tenn./Friendship Christian) has also been an AD honor roll student every semester of her career.
A pair of seniors are making their sixth overall appearance on the honor roll. Kristen Collins (Stow, Mass./Nashoba Regional), also a 2002 third-team Academic All-American, has had a 3.0 for three consecutive semesters, while Christina Holowich (Castro Valley, Calif./Moreau Catholic) has been recognized for the fifth straight time.
Junior Nikki Lincoln (Baton Rouge, La./Episcopal) and sophomore Tanya Rose (Milwaukie, Ore./Rex Putnam) have each been honored every semester of their career. Lincoln has been recognized five times, while Rose earned her third AD honor roll selection.
First-time recipients of the honor are junior Haley Larsen (Orem, Utah/Utah Valley State J.C.), sophomore Taylor Petersen (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora), and freshmen Jennifer Orpitelli (Garden Grove, Calif./Pacifica) and Alexis Switenko (Blue Anchor, N.J./Winslow Township). The Orangewomen open the 2003 campaign on February 21 vs. Louisian-Monroe at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
