Newcomer Gavan Hits BIG EAST Swimming Qualifying Marks at Rutgers Invitational

Freshman Mike Gavan (Clayton, Calif.) qualified for this week's BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championship with conference qualifying marks of 4:06.65 in the men's 400-yard individual medley and 1:54.62 in the 200-yard butterfly at the Rutgers Invitational on Feb. 15. He will join 25 of his teammates, including 14 Orangemen at the BIG EAST Swimming & Diving Championship, which begin on Thursday, Feb. 20 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Nassau County Aquatics Center in Uniondale, N.Y.
