The Syracuse University women’s rowing team begins its spring season on Saturday, March 29 against Boston University and Massachusetts in Boston,MA.
For the first time, the Orangewomen and BU will race for a trophy. The Kittell Cup, named for SU’s associate athletic director Janet Kittell, was donated by alum Kristin Bidwell.
The Orangewomen spent a week in Miami, FL in early March, preparing for their spring season.
“We’re excited to finally race,” said head coach Kris Sanford. “Because we are a young team, we need a race to get under our belts and see the direction we are headed.”
Last year, Syracuse won the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four B and the novice eight races agaomst Boston University and Clemson.
