Former SU wide receivers coach Ivan Fears is the running backs coach for the New England Patriots and former SU strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik is in his fourth year in the same position with the Patriots. Patriots assistant strength and conditioning coach Markus Paul was an All-American defensive back for the Orange. Â In addition, New England vice president for player personnel Scott Pioli was a graduate assistant coach at SU in 1988 and 1989.
Four former Orangemen were selected to play in the NFL Pro Bowl on February 8 at 7:30 p.m., including Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb for the NFC and Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison and defensive end Dwight Freeney for the AFC.
