Volleyball Records 20th Victory With Sweep of Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Syracuse volleyball team concluded its non-conference schedule with a sweep of the Rider Broncs, 3-0, on Friday night, Oct. 29. SU won the match with games of 30-17, 30-20 and 30-19. The Orange improves to 20-5 overall and 3-1 in the BIG EAST, while Rider is now 12-10. This marks the first 20-win season for the Orange since 2000 when SU recorded 24 victories.
Junior Kelly Duan led the Orange attack with 11 kills on 28 attempts for a .321 hitting percentage. Junior Aila Dommestrup recorded 33 assists and seven digs in the match. Freshman Joscie Kaup had a match-high 22 digs, while junior Kristen Conway was the leading blocker for the Orange, recording three solo blocks in two games of action.
Rider was led by Stefanie Lombardo with 14 kills and 13 digs. Jaclyn Levi added 11 kills for the Broncs.
Syracuse returns to BIG EAST action against Villanova on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2:00 p.m.
