Tarullo Selected to Academic All-District First Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Matt Tarullo, a captain and center on the Orange football team, was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team for the second consecutive year. His name will now be forwarded on to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Tarullo carries a 3.74 grade point average as a psychology major and speech communications minor. He is a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star and has been named to the Syracuse University Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in all eight semesters.
Tarullo is a two-year starter for the Orange and moved from guard to center prior to the start of this season.
In addition to his success on the field and in the classroom, Tarullo is dedicated to the Syracuse community. He participated in the 2003 Boys and Girls Club Charity Basketball game and was a keynote speaker for the 2002 New York State National Football Foundation’s annual banquet. Tarullo is also an active participant in SU’s Student-Athlete Council, which leads the ‘Cuse Cares community service program.
Tarullo and the Orange football team travel to Philadelphia to face BIG EAST foe Temple on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 12 p.m.
