Syracuse Football Earns National Recognition

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse won the “Pontiac Game Changing Performance” competition on ESPN this week. College football fans have been voting since this past Sunday on their favorite “Pontiac Game Changing Performance” of the week. Syracuse beat the other finalists – UCONN, Arizona and Tulsa to capture the top prize.
Senior strong safety Diamond Ferri had the “game changing performance” filling in for an injured Damien Rhodes and rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. He also had 44-yard interception return for a touchdown, which can be viewed at espn.com/Pontiac.
Pontiac will be making a $5,000 donation to your general scholarship fund. Fans will also have the opportunity to vote at the end of the season for the “Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year.” ESPN will select six of the 13 weekly winners for one final competition. The winning school will receive an additional $100,000 contribution to their general scholarship fund from Pontiac. Follow this link to vote for Syracuse at the end of the season. Vote for SU!
