Petrulevich, one of SU’s top competitors in middle distance events, has qualified for the indoor meet in three events: the 500-meter, 800-meter and 1,000-meter runs. He has competed in each event just once this season and managed to hit the league mark on his first try. Petrulevich placed second in the 500m at the Cornell Relays with a time of 1:05.64, 0.01 seconds faster than the BIG EAST-qualifying standard. Petrulevich set a Syracuse record in the 800m at the U.S. Track Coaches Association Series Meet with a time of 1:52.84. That time qualifies him for both the league meet and the IC4A Championship. Petrulevich won the 1,000m run at the Syracuse Invitational with a BIG EAST- and IC4A-qualifying time of 2:29.03. Petrulevich also holds the school record in the outdoor 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.15 set at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship last season.
Muldoon has proved himself to be one of SU’s best distance runners this season after he qualified for the league meet in the mile run, the 3,000-meter run, and as a part of SU’s distance medley relay team. Muldoon recorded his best time of the season in the mile at the Penn State National Open with a BIG EAST- and IC4A-qualifying time of 4:10.77 and a sixth-place finish. He won the 3,000-meter run at the Syracuse Invitational with a time of 8:27.84, which also qualifies him for both the league and regional meets. Muldoon ran the final leg of SU’s DMR team that finished sixth at the Penn State National Open with a BIG EAST- and IC4A-qualifying time of 10:00.67.
