Twelve Members of the Women's Lacrosse Team Earn Academic Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Twelve members of the Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team were named to the Fall 2003 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. The SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognizes those student-athletes who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Three seniors made an appearance on the honor roll. Danielle Lillis (West Islip, NY), Jacquelyn Walker (Baldwinsville, NY), Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY) were each recognized.

Juniors Caitlin Dragon (Jackson, NJ), Alexis Fermanis (Gorham, ME), Monica Joines (White Hall, MD) were also named to the honor roll.

Evelyn Long (Edgewater, MD), Meghan O’ Connell (Camillus, NY), and Stephanie Walker (Corning, NY) were the sophomores who the earned the honor.

Freshman Bethel Steele (Homer, NY), Chelsea Strodel (Skaneateles, NY), and Melissa Pearsall (Cortland, NY) made their first appearance on the list.

The Orangewomen will scrimmage Pennsylvania on Saturday, Feb. 14 before opening their season at No. 2 Virginia on Feb. 28.
