
Orange Track and Field Teams to Host Syracuse Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse University will host the Syracuse Invitational track and field meet at Manley Field House, Feb. 7-8. There will be 14 teams competing in the event, including 10 from New York and four from Canada.
The invitational begins Saturday at 8 a.m., with the first event of the women’s pentathlon, and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m., with the final event of the men’s heptathlon.
Last weekend, the Orange competed at the Penn State National Open in State College, Pa. Syracuse will compete in one more meet on Feb. 14, in Lewisburg, Pa., before competing in the BIG EAST Tournament, which will take place Feb. 21-22 at the Carrier Dome. Daily admission for the league championship is $5 for adults, while admission for children 18 years and younger and senior citizens 55 years and older costs $3. Students from BIG EAST schools will be admitted free of charge with their student IDs.
Admission to the Syracuse Invitational is free.
