Rose Named SU Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior Tanya Rose of the Orangewomen softball team is the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 9.
Rose is a five-time member of the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star in 2002 and 2003. Rose started all 42 games last season, hit .316 and led the team with 26 runs.
Rose and the Orangewomen open their season at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament on Friday, Feb. 13, against Nevada at 3:00 p.m. EST.
