SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Sophomore Alexis Switenko of the Orangewomen softball team is the SU Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 15.

Switenko is a three-time member of the SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star in 2003. She tied the Syracuse career record with her fourth home run of the season, and has 13 in her two years as an Orangewoman. Switenko has started all 23 games at shortstop this season, and leads the team with 16 RBI.

Switenko and the Orangewomen play at the Delaware State Capital Classic against teams that include Stony Brook, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Delaware State, March 19-21.
