
Field Hockey Signs Three Recruits for Fall 2004

Angellella is an all-state center midfielder from Manahawan, New Jersey. She is a three-sport athlete at Southern Regional High School, also participating in basketball and softball. This past season, Angellella scored 29 goals and tallied nine assists. For her career, she scored 45 goals and had 20 assists. She served as team captain for the two-time Class "A" South champion Southern Rams.
Geissler hails from Leesport, Pennsylvania and attends Schuylkill Valley High School. She has experience playing both the forward and midfield positions. She also played basketball and soccer. As a senior, Geissler scored six goals and recorded five assists. Her team posted a 13-8-3 record and finished third in the county, 14th in the state. For her career, she tallied 20 goals and 27 assists. She was a two-time team captain and was named All-County on three occasions. In 2002 and 2003, Geissler earned first-team all-state accolades.
Lerew will come to Syracuse from York Springs, Pennsylvania. She attends Bermudian Springs High School where she is a four-year member of the varsity field hockey team. Her team set a school record with 13 wins in 2003 and Lerew registered 13 goals as a senior. For her career, she finished with 33 goals and 18 assists. She was twice selected to the Mid-Penn Capital First Team and was chosen as an all-area selection twice.
