Women's Soccer Team Posts Highest GPA

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The SU women's soccer team recorded the top cumulative GPA of all the Orange's athletics teams during the 2003-04 academic year. The squad posted a 3.365 team GPA.
During the fall semester 23 of SU's 28 performers were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (minimum GPA of 3.0). The unit also posted the top team GPA for the semester (3.405).
In November the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) presented the Orange with its Academic Team Award for the fourth time in the program's history for its performance during the 2002-03 academic year.
Syracuse finished 2003 with a 9-8-1 overall record.
