SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse University Athletics and Applebee’s restaurants have teamed up to offer a special discount ticket value for football fans to the Orange’s home opener September 18th versus Cincinnati (12:00 p.m. kickoff). Customers can purchase the S.U. “Dinner & A Game” package for $38 and receive one game ticket (200 or 300 level based on availability), plus a $15 gift certificate valid anytime at area Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar restaurants. Five Central New York Applebee’s locations are offering the "Dinner & A Game" promotion, including three Syracuse-area locations, Auburn and Watertown.
“We’re delighted to offer our fans an excellent value with a quality restaurant that has multiple locations,” said SU associate athletic director for external affairs Michael Veley. “Everyone benefits from this campaign. Our fans can save more than 25-percent off the cost of a game ticket and also receive a fine meal. Applebee’s sells a meal for every ticket purchased and SU sells tickets at high traffic, off-campus locations making it convenient for fans. Both Applebee’s and SU are committed to providing our customers with value. In addition to the ticket savings, consumers can eat at Applebee’s on whatever day or time is convenient for their schedule. Fans don’t have use their Applebee’s gift certificate on game day."
Plans are to offer the same “Dinner and A Game” package for SU’s games against Rutgers on October 2 (12:00 p.m. kickoff), Connecticut on Oct. 30 and Pittsburgh on Nov. 6.
