ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior back Joanne Lombard tallied her first goal of the season in the Syracuse field hockey team's 3-1 loss to Old Dominion on Sunday, Sept. 12. It was the first-ever meeting for the Orange against the perennially-powerful Monarchs.
Old Dominion led 3-0 by halftime. Katie Claxton dove to redirect a shot by Jennifer Angat at the 15:17 mark. Anna Rogers tapped in a crossing pass from Dana Sensening at the 21:05 mark, while Shannon Mobley sent a low shot from the left side to the far post with 3:02 remaining in the first half.
