Davis Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sophomore Dowayne Davis, a member of the Orange football team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 10.
Davis, who hails from Bronx, N.Y., recorded a career-high 15 tackles in SU’s loss against Connecticut last Friday. He also tallied a pass break up and a tackle for a loss.
Davis and the Orange welcome Rutgers to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon. The game will be televised on ESPN Regional.
