The football Orange will tackle the heart of the BIG EAST football schedule with five league games in the next six weeks. Head coach Greg Robinson and his squad are anxious to get back on the field against a conference opponent.
“I believe that (the BIG EAST is still up for grabs)," Robinson said. "I truly do. We’re playing our second conference game. Of course it is. This is football. Football is one week at a time. You just keep playing. I can say all of the coaching clichés, but I believe them. I’m looking forward to it. Let’s go, it’s time. We’re in league play. Let’s go. This is what the guys are all looking forward to. Unfortunately, we took a loss to West Virginia, but that’s what it is. We can deal with that. We just need to take care of business.”
SU's game against Connecticut on Friday, October 7 will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Dave Pasch, Trevor Mattich, Rodney Gilmore and Stacy Dales-Schuman will call the action.
The Orange return home for an October 15 game against Rutgers in the Carrier Dome. Tickets are available online (click here) or at the Carrier Dome Box Office (1-888-DOMETIX).
