Wyche and LaCasse Featured On "Inside The BIG EAST"

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior defensive ends James Wyche and Ryan LaCasse will be the cover story on “Inside The BIG EAST” this week. Wyche is the 2005 preseason BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, while LaCasse is currently fourth in the nation in sacks, averaging 1.50 per game.

So far this season, Wyche has recorded 22 tackles, including 16 solo. His 0.50 forced fumbles per game is tied for fourth in the conference. Wyche’s 167 tackles by a down lineman is sixth all-time at SU, and his 24.0 tackles for a loss is tied for seventh with Keith Bulluck.

LaCasse ranks nationally in a few other categories besides sacks. He has also forced 0.50 fumbles per game, and is tied for 15^th in the nation in tackles for a loss with 1.75 per game. His 13.5 career sacks are just three away from ranking in the Orange top 10.
