Spring Tennis Schedule Announced

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Syracuse University women’s tennis spring schedule has been released with several new opponents filling this springs calendar. Eight of the Orange’s 17 dual matches will be against opponents that SU did not face in 2004-05. In addition to its dual schedule, SU will participate in the Eagle Classic, hosted by Southern Mississippi (March 24-26).
Syracuse will resume its season on February 4, 2006, when it travels to take on Brown. SU’s home opener is slated for February 10th against Buffalo.
Seven BIG EAST opponents will take the courts against the Orange during the regular season with Cincinnati (March 3), Rutgers (March 5) and St. John’s (April 14) each coming to Syracuse. SU will travel to play DePaul (April 1), Marquette (April 2), Connecticut (April 7) and Seton Hall (April 8).
The BIG EAST Championships are scheduled for April 20-23 and will be hosted South Florida. Syracuse finished second at last year’s championships losing to Notre Dame in the championship.
