Matson Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Wes Matson, a member of the Orange swimming and diving team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 5.
Matson, who hails from Wichita, Kan., has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and is a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
Matson finished second in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:44.14 at this past weekend’s Yale Nutmeg Invitational.
The Orange travel to Puerto Rico for their winter training trip from Jan. 2 to Jan. 10.
