Bailie Selected to Northern Ireland National Team for the Second Straight Year

Senior Kelly Bailie, a midfielder on the women's soccer team, has been selected to represent Northern Ireland in the Algarve Cup for the second consecutive year. The Algarve Cup is one of the biggest women’s soccer tournaments in the world.
Northern Ireland will play its round robin contests versus England, Mexico and Portugal to determine which team will move on to the next round of play. The Algarve Cup, on the coast of Portugal, will take place March 8-17.
Bailie, a 2004 All-BIG EAST Third Team selection, finished her two-year career at SU with two goals and five assists, including a goal and three assists in 2004. The Northern Ireland native led the Orange with 34 shots and played nearly all 1,769 minutes last season. Bailie was one of five Orange to start all 19 games last season and has started 33 of the 37 games over the last two years.
