Orange head football coach
Greg Robinson will speak at the 27th annual Mountain Goat Run at Clinton Square in Syracuse on May 1, 2005. One week prior, the Orange will hold its annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 23 at the Carrier Dome. Pre-practice begins at 12:30 p.m. and the scrimmage is set for 1:00 p.m. Admission is free.
At the Mountain Goat Post Race Party Robinson will welcome all runners back from the challenging Mountain Goat course and also will share his insights on the Syracuse University Football Program. The Post Race Party begins at 12:00 p.m. Robinson is scheduled to hit the stage in Clinton Square at 12:50 PM.
In the spirit of Robinson's visit, Mountain Goat Sponsor Fleet Feet Sports will be raffling off a pair of season tickets for Syracuse Football 2005. To be eligible to win, all adults (21 and over), can fill out an entry blank at the Fleet Feet tent at Clinton Square on Race Day. Robinson will draw the winner on stage at the completion of his talk. You MUST be present to win.
Robinson, who is in his first year as head coach of the Orange, arrives in Syracuse with two Super Bowl Championships as Defensive Coordinator of the Denver Broncos and a Rose Bowl Championship last year as Defensive Coordinator at the University of Texas. Robinson has 30 years of football coaching experience, including 14 in the National Football League.
The 2005 Orange make its debut under the direction of the first-year head coach in the Carrier Dome against West Virginia at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 4. The game will be broadcast on ABC Television. The 2005 Orange will also host Buffalo (September 10), Virginia (September 17), Rutgers (October 15), Cincinnati (October 29) and South Florida (November 12).
The Orange will play at Florida State (October 1), at Connecticut (October 7, ESPN2), at Pittsburgh (October 22), at Notre Dame (November 19, NBC) and at Louisville (November 26).

The 2005 six-game season ticket price is $168 for an adult season ticket, $80 for full-time SU students and youth (18 and under, end zone only). SU is again offering several ticket options this season, including specially-priced upper level east end zone seats for $135. SU’s zealous fans can purchase a season ticket in the “O-Zone”, located in the first level east end zone for $168. The area is designated for SU fans who have an interest in displaying spirit, standing up, leading cheers and being close to the action to inspire the team.
All season ticket holders who either renew their tickets by April 6 or purchase new season tickets by April 23, will be eligible for a drawing to purchase two tickets for the Syracuse game at Notre Dame on November 19.
Single game tickets and ticket packages for the 2005 home season will go on sale Wednesday, August 3 to the general public. Adult single-game tickets are $32. Full-time SU student and youth tickets (18 and younger, end zone only) are $15. Single game tickets for the specially priced upper end zone seats are $25 per game. Individual game tickets can be purchased in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B), online (dometix.com), or via telephone (toll free 1-888-DOMETIX (366-3849), or locally (315-443-2121).
In addition to season tickets and individual games tickets, Orange fans will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of special ticket packages.
The “Double Play” ticket package, which includes SU’s game against West Virginia and one additional BIG EAST conference game, costs $95 in an upper level preferred seating area and $54 adult/$25 youth in an upper level non-preferred seating area, as available.
The “Triple Threat” package will include SU’s games against West Virginia, Rutgers and South Florida. The cost is $140 in an upper level preferred seating area and $80 adult/$40 youth in an upper level non-preferred seating area, as available.
Gridiron Family Packs are available for SU’s games against West Virginia, Virginia, Rutgers, Cincinnati and South Florida. These packages include two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $15 concessions coupon, and a parking pass. The Gridiron Family Pack costs $85, a $33 savings.
The Friends and Football Pack, available for all of SU’s games, includes two adult tickets and a $15 concession coupon for $70 – a savings of $9.
The “Youth Day” Family Pack for SU’s designated day for young fans and families, scheduled for September 10 when SU hosts Buffalo, includes two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $15 concession coupon and a parking pass for $70. The savings per pack is $38.
