Tarullo Joins Cowboys For Mini-Camp

IRVING, Texas – Syracuse University offensive lineman Matt Tarullo signed with the Dallas Cowboys and will participate in this weekend’s mini-camp. Tarullo becomes the tenth former Orange to sign with the Cowboys.
Tarullo started 36 consecutive games for the Orange (24 at guard, 12 at center). He moved to the center position prior to 2004 Spring practice after starting at guard for the past two years. Tarullo was part of the offensive line that blocked for the first SU duo to each run for 800 yards (Damien Rhodes & Walter Reyes) since 1979. He was named to the 2004 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America First Team, and is a two-time CoSIDA District I Academic All-American. Tarullo was a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection and a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in all nine semesters at SU. In 2004, he was named to the first team All-BIG EAST and the American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team. Tarullo was selected to play in the 2005 Gridiron All-Star Classic, where he played offensive guard. He won SU’s Joe Alexander Award for Excellence in Football, Scholarship & Citizenship.
Tarullo, a native of Albany, N.Y., majored in psychology at Syracuse.
