Women’s Rowing Heads to Eastern Sprints

CAMDEN, N.J. – The No. 16 SU women’s rowing team will face some of the best crews in the country, including top-ranked Princeton, at the Eastern Sprints this Sunday, May 15 in Camden, N.J. The team is looking for its first NCAA bid since 2002 and will need a strong showing this weekend to advance to the championships.
The rowing team is coming off two weeks of rest and practice since sweeping Villanova and UMass on Onondaga Lake on April 29. SU’s varsity eight claimed this year’s BIG EAST rowing crown on April 24 in Worcester, Mass.
The NCAA Championship is slated for May 26-28 in Sacramento, Calif.
