Mark Wins Championship in Triple Jump

Syracuse sophomore Sheron Mark, a native of Diego Martin, Trinidad, captured the triple jump title at the Senior National Championships of Trinidad & Tobago last weekend with a jump of 12.54 meters (41'2"). Mark also claimed second place in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 6.09 meters (19'11.75").
Mark was one of two Orange women to participate in the NCAA Outdoor Championship. She tied for 15th at the meet. In her second season at Syracuse, Mark won the triple jump at both the BIG EAST indoor and outdoor championships.
