Peetoom Named BIG EAST Defensive Player of Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Syracuse sophomore defender Brad Peetoom was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, announced today. Peetoom was part of a backfield that did not allow a goal in two matches, a total span of 192:52.
Peetoom also provided the match-winner against Loyola on Sunday night. In the 71st minute, Peetoom took a rebound off of the Loyola goalkeeper and slipped it into the back of the net. The second-chance opportunity came after Isaac Collings blasted a free kick towards the goal.
The Orange is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 7 when it hosts Cornell at 7:00 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium.
