Sola, Ryan Named to NFHCA Division I All-Region Second Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University field hockey players senior back Michelle Sola (Blandon, Pa.) and Meg Ryan ( Lancaster, Pa.) where named the 2006 NFHCA Division I All-Region Second Team.
Sola also earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors this season. She ended the 2006 campaign second on the team in points (21), goals (8) and assists (5). Sola was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on September 18, following her two-goal performance in SU’s win at Rutgers. The senior was also named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on October 16 after recording one goal and one assist in the Orange’s victory against Albany.
Sola started all 77 games she played in during her career at Syracuse. The Blandon, Pa. native ends her career with 64 points off 26 goals and 12 assists.
Ryan was second on the team in assists with five, third in game-winning goals (1), fourth in points (13) and fifth in goals (4).
