NFL Hopeful Ryan LaCasse on Orange Pulse Tuesday
2/28/2006 5:06:26 PM | Football
Recently-graduated Orange defensive end Ryan LaCasse will be Matt Park's guest on Tuesday night's Orange Pulse radio show. LaCasse has just returned from the NFL's annual combine for draft hopefuls. He used the skills he learned at SU and elsewhere to record a 4.54 40-yard dash time, second-best among defensive linemen at the event.
Ryan and Matt will discuss the lengths to which NFL teams go to investigate their would-be investments, including psychological examinations and the much-publicized Wonderlic Test.
The NFL draft takes place in the last weekend of April. LaCasse, who also has received interest from pro teams as a linebacker, is one of several former Orange standouts that could move on to professional football. All-BIG EAST safety Anthony Smith has been projected to be the first Orange player taken in the draft.
