Downing Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Karlyn Downing, a member of the Orange women’s rowing team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 20.
Downing, who hails from Syracuse, N.Y., has twice been named to the Athletic Director’s honor roll and is a BIG EAST Academic All-Star. Downing is majoring in health and exercise science at Syracuse.
The women’s rowing team will next be in action on Saturday and Sunday when it travels to take part in the Stanford Invitational in Redwood Shores, Calif.
