Three SU Student-Athletes Voted to ESPN The Magazine All-District Squads

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Three Syracuse University student-athletes have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I men’s at-large team announced Thursday. Luk Boral (Poznan, Poland) of the SU men’s swimming and diving team was named to the first team, while men’s lacrosse players John Wright (Birmingham, Mich.) and Mike Leveille (Delmar, N.Y.) were named to the second team.
Boral, one of 12 University Scholars, is an information management and technology major at Syracuse. He was an All-American Honorable Mention for his performance in the 200 breaststroke finals at this year’s NCAA Championship. The two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star finished second in the 200 breast at this year’s BIG EAST Championship and is the school record holder in both the 100 and 200 breast. Boral has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and has twice been named an ECAC Division I Male Swimmer of the Week. He is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Wright has played a key role on an SU defense that has led the Orange all the way to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. A six-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Wright has started in 14 games for the Orange this season and has 25 ground balls. He is one of three captains of this years Orange squad and is a philosophy major at Syracuse.
Leveille is SU’s second leading goal-scorer this season with 31 goals to go along with 18 assists. He was a 2005 STX/USILA Honorable Mention All-American and has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll each semester he’s been at Syracuse. He is a general studies major in the School of Management at Syracuse.
