SYRACUSE, NY -- Patriot League power Holy Cross is the latest home foe announced for the 2006-07 men's basketball schedule at Syracuse. The Orange will host the Crusaders in the Dome on Monday, November 27, at 7:00 p.m.
Holy Cross is coming off four consecutive 20-win campaigns. Coached by former Syracuse assistant Ralph Willard, the Crusaders will be making their second Dome appearance. Syracuse defeated Holy Cross, 77-57, in the 1981 NIT. The overall series between the two clubs is knotted at 12-12. SU has won the last four meetings.
Four starters and six of the top eight players from last season form the heart of the upcoming Holy Cross roster. The Crusaders were 20-12 overall and 11-3 in the Patriot League in 2005-06. In addition to finishing second in the conference's regular-season standings, Holy Cross advanced to the Patriot League Tournament championship game for the fifth time in six campaigns.
Charlotte is also on the home-court itinerary for this winter. The 49ers come to the Dome on Wednesday, November 22.
