
Mandaric Named Graduate Assistant For Men's Rowing

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Bojan Mandaric has been named the graduate assistant coach for the men's rowing team for the 2006-07 season. Mandaric replaces Nick Scholz and will assist with the varsity and freshmen rowers. Mandaric attended Northeaster University, where he rowed for three seasons with the Varsity 8. Mandaric began rowing in 1996 and became a member of the Yugoslavian National Team, who later became known as Serbia and Montenegro, in 1998. He has competed in international regattas in Austria, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria. He has won eight medals at the Serbian National Championships (2 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze). Mandaric competed in the 2002 World Rowing Championships in Genoa, Italy, where his boat placed ninth.
Mandaric graduated from Northeastern with a degree in enviromental studies in 2006. WHile at Northeastern, he also worked at the Northeastern Center for Sports in Society.
