Liwski Wins Bronze at World Championships

Former Syracuse student-athlete Chris Liwski was a member of the U.S. Men's Eight who won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Rowing Championships in Eton England on August 27. The U.S. team, rowing in the third lane, finished less than a second behind second-place Italy and three seconds behind gold medal-winning Germany. Australia, England and Poland roudned out the finals heat.
Liwski was a member of the Syracuse rowing team from 1999-02, was an alternate on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team and rowed for Oxford University while earning his Masters degree in 2005. He is currently enrolled in the Boston College of Law.
