The 18th-ranked Syracuse Orange (11-4, 3-2 BIG EAST) stepts out of BIG EAST Conference play with a contest at Yale on Sunday at Yale (7-5, 2-2 Ivy League) at 1 p.m. on Johnson Field on the campus of Yale University. Live stats are available here.
Freshman midfielder Maggie Befort and senior back Brittany Angellella both registered late goals, but the Orange was unable to come back from an early 3-0 deficit at Providence on Friday night. Yale has also defeated Holy Cross (2-1), Dartmouth (1-0 OT), Sacred Heart (5-2), Quinnipiac (1-0) and Fairfield (7-0) during the steak. Ashley McCauley leads the Bulldogs with 26 points and 11 goals and Harriet Thayer has a team-best six assists. Charlotte Goins has played ever minute in cage and has recorded a 1.51 goals-against-average and a .858 saves percentage.
