ATLANTA, Ga. – Competition continued for members of the Orange swimming and diving team with day two of the USA Swimming Short Course Nationals on Friday. Junior Catrina Roth bested her day-one time of 56.53 in the 100 Back with a school record, 56.50. Junior Alex Taraskin posted his best time of the season in the 200 Free touching at 1:40.67.

Junior Catrina Roth bested her day-one time of 56.53 in the 100 Back with a school record, 56.50. Junior Alex Taraskin posted his best time of the season in the 200 Free touching at 1:40.67.
Other individuals competing during the second day were freshman Natalie Mazzetta, sophomore Arda Isiksalan and Kuba Kotynia. Mazzetta swam the 400 Medley in a time of 4:26.33 and Isiksalan finished the 100 Back in 51.92. Kotynia rounded out the day for SU in the 100 Breast with a time of 56.50.
The relay teams were in the water again and both the men and women's teams posted their top times of the year. Mazzetta teamed up with sophomore Katelyn Schumacher, sophomore Carolyn Delkus and junior Sarah Manning in the 800 Free and posted a 7:31.90 time.
Taraksin joined sophomore Boldizsar Kiss, junior Matt Brock and freshman Berk Kahraman in the 800 Free for a time of 6:49.13.
Competition continues with day three on Sunday.
