Orange Sport Spotlight - March 26

Six Syracuse teams competed during the week of March 19-26. Orange student-athletes and coaches reached milestones and multiple records were broken during the week.
Women's Lacrosse (6-3, 2-1 BIG EAST)
The 11th-ranked Orange won both of its games last week, defeating Connecticut, 18-16, in overtime and Harvard, 23-12. Against the Crimson, senior Jill DePetris became the eighth player in school history to reach the 100-point plateau. SU's win against Harvard was also the program's 99th all-time victory.

The tennis team won its only match of the week, defeating Missouri, 5-2. Junior Catherine Zawadski became the 28th player in school history to record 100 career wins.

Men's Basketball (24-11, 10-6 BIG EAST)
The men's basketball team advanced in the NIT Quarterfinals with a victory against San Diego State but lost to Clemson on Wednesday. Against the Aztecs, Syracuse set a NIT-attendance record with 26,572 fans.

Men's Lacrosse (2-3)
The men's lacrosse team won its only game of the week, defeating Binghamton, 16-10. SU head coach John Desko won his 100th career game, becoming the quickest among active coaches to do so.
