Orange Looks to Extend Winning Streak

The Orange continues conference play this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders. SU will take to the road again for twinbills at 18/23 DePaul and at Notre Dame. Live stats and audio of the SU's games at Notre Game are available at und.com. Both double dips will begin at noon. SU will then open its home schedule with Binghamton on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. Live audio of SU's home opener can be heard on SUathletics.com via Orange All Access. Live stats will also be available on SUathletics.com. The Orange opened its league schedule by going 3-1 in four games against Providence and Connecticut. SU lost the first game to PC, 3-2, but won the next game, 3-0. SU swept Connecticut of the second consecutive season, winning, 9-8, in eight and 6-4.
Scouting the Blue Demons
The 18/23 Blue Demons (20-7, 4-0) posted a 4-1 record last week, sweeping BIG EAST opponents Seton Hall and St. John’s while dropping a game to No. 17/20 Illinois State on March 21. DePaul outscored its BIG EAST opponents 23-6.
Scouting the Fighting Irish
The Irish (14-12, 4-0) played their first game on their home field and went 5-0 including four wins in conference play. Brittney Bargar had a strong individual week with a 3-0 record and an ERA of 0.35. Bargar struck out 20 opponents in 20 innings pitched. She was named Pitcher of the Week.
