Orange Sport Spotlight - May 7

Three Syracuse teams competed during the week of April 30 - May 6. Records were broked on the lacrosse field and the Orange claimed four title at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Women's Lacrosse (12-5, 4-1 BIG EAST)
The seventh-ranked Orange lost a close game to second-ranked Penn on Sunday, 10-8. Sophomore Katie Rowan set single-season school records during the game, raising her 2007 total to 78 points and 53 goals. Leigh-Ann Zimmer held the previous standards of 74 points and 52 goals.

Track & Field
The Orange won four individual titles at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship. Junior Jillian Drouin won the heptahlon title and was named the championship's Most Outstanding Field Performer. In addition, Michael LeBlanc (100m dash), Aulton Kohn (200m dash) and Ramon Sosa (110m hurdles) each took home titles.
