Three Orange Football Shows Set for TK99 and Newschannel 9 Airwaves

Coverage of Syracuse University football is expanding this season with the addition of ‘Orange Extra: The Last Call’, ‘Orange Extra: Mondays with Mac’, and ‘Orange Extra: Rewind & Reload’.
“Galaxy radio has been so creative giving the fans what they want,” said Syracuse director of athletics Dr. Daryl Gross. “This has been the greatest partnership since day one. We are excited about the new show as they will keep the community well informed.”
“As the new flagship radio station of SU Sports, TK99 is committed to doing things that have never been done before,” said Galaxy Communications CEO Ed Levine. “This new partnership with Newschannel 9 is one more example.”
TK99 and TK105, the new home of Syracuse University Athletics will partner with WSYR Newschannel 9 to produce a television and radio simulcast of all three programs. The programs will be carried on TK99 and WSYR-TV digital channel 9.2 (available on Time Warner Cable channel 890).
“Digital channel 9.2 will bring innovative local programming to the community,” said WSYR Newschannel 9 vice president and general manager Theresa Underwood. “This is only the beginning.”
‘Orange Extra: The Last Call’ post game show will go on the air one hour following every Syracuse game beginning with the game against Illinois on September 15. The show will be broadcast live from Rosie’s Sports Pub and Grille at the corner of West Fayette Street and West Genesee Streets in Syracuse. “Orange Extra: The Last Call” will be hosted by Newschannel 9 Sports Director Steve Infanti, and co-hosted, in part, by Gomez and Dave from the TK99 morning show, as well as guest appearances by Syracuse University play-by-play voice Matt Park. The show will feature a recap of the game, as well as allow listeners and viewers to call in or email with questions and opinions.
‘Orange Extra: Mondays with Mac,’ which will be broadcast live from Red Robin restaurant in Fayetteville will be broadcast live on TK 99 and simulcast live on Newschannel 9.2, WSYR's new digital channel every Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
‘Orange Extra: Rewind Reload” will follow ‘Orange Extra: Mondays with Mac’ at 8:00 p.m. on Monday nights, TK 99 and Channel 9.2 will host a 30 minute roundtable with Orange football analysts previewing the next weeks opponent .This will also be simulcast on Newschannel 9.2 and will be part of a 90 minute Syracuse University block.
