SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Ryan Durand, the starting right guard for the Orange football team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 10.

Durand, a 2007 National Football Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence candidate, has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star selection every year and an Athletic Director's Honor Roll member every semester. This Leominster, Mass., native is majoring in health and exercise science.
