Devendorf Named Male Scholar Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Eric Devendorf, a guard on the men’s basketball team, is the Syracuse University Male Scholar Athlete of the Week for the week of January 14.

Devendorf, who hails from Bay City, Mich., is majoring in communication and rhetorical studies. He became the program’s 49^th player all-time to score 1,000 career points on November 21 against Ohio State. The 2006-07 All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention selection suffered a season-ending knee injury versus East Tennessee State on December 15.

The Syracuse men’s basketball team returns to the Carrier Dome hardwood following a brief two-game road-swing on Wednesday, January 16 against BIG EAST foe Rutgers at 7:00 p.m.
