SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The 2008 women's ice hockey season is underway and has already given its followers a lot to be excited about. From freshman Megan Skelly's first goal just nine seconds into Syracuse's historical first game at Colgate to the 10-0 shutout as the Tennity Ice Pavilion home opener, Syracuse ice hockey has created a buzz throughout campus and the city.
The Orange travels to Detroit, Mich. this weekend to take on the Wayne State Warriors for the first time this season, marking SU's third CHA series. Syracuse seeks its first conference victory against a club that has compiled a 7-2-1 record this season on Friday, November 21 at 7 p.m. at the City Sports Center.
